Elmira man facing drug charge in Kirkland Lake

An Elmira man is facing drug and mischief charges after an incident in Kirkland Lake.

On October 3, Ontario Provincial Police responded to a call about a person allegedly causing damage to a room at a hotel on Government Road East in the Town of Kirkland Lake.

Officers arrived and found a room with significant damage and also located drugs suspected to be methamphetamine.

Jonathan Roy, 39, has been charged with mischief over $5,000 and possession of methamphetamine.

He has been released on a promise to appear and is due in court on November 7.
