The Kitchener-Waterloo Titans have announced the signing of point guard Joel Friesen for the remainder of the 2018-19 NBL Canada season.

The B.C. native has been a member of three consecutive NBL Canada championship teams.

He won a championship with Halifax in 2015-16, then with London in 2016-17 and 2017-18.

"Joel is a proven winner in this league," Titans Head Coach, Cavell Johnson, said in a release.

"He’s a high level defender and 3-point threat that plays with a great passion for the game. Joel knows what it takes to contribute to a winning team, and brings that 'dog' mentality on both ends of the floor every night." he added.

Friesen said he really likes the group the Titans have assembled.

"I’m just excited to be a part of it and make this team better however I can." he said.

He will make his debut when the Titans play in London on Sunday.
