"Dodgeball4Danny" is a charity dodgeball event that is being hosted by Conestoga College's Advanced Police Studies Program. The event was started in remembrance of Colleen Holmes-Cumming's son, Danny, who tragically passed away from cancer at the young age of 4. Before Danny passed away, he wished that he could go to Disneyland to meet Pocahontas, Cinderella and all of their friends, and his wish was granted. Dodgeball4Danny has since been created, with all proceeds going towards the Sunshine Foundation, in support of Dreamlift. Monies raised are used to fulfill the dreams of sick children, sending them on a plane to Disney to meet all of their favourite characters. The Advanced Police Studies team is hoping to raise $10,000 at this year’s event, which takes place on March 19th at Conestoga College. http://sfoc.convio.net/site/TR/DIYCampaign/General?team_id=1911&pg=team&fr_id=1190
