3) Remembrance Day 2019

Pause, honour and remember at the annual Remembrance Day ceremonies happening in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Ayr, and New Hamburg.
There are also special Remembrance Day events taking place at THEMUSEUM, Idea Exchange, Waterloo Region Museum, and Kitchener Public Library.
You can also participate in the RememberRun on November 9; it's hosted by the Preston Legion, with proceeds and donations going to the Poppy Fund.
4) St. Jacobs Sparkles

The Village of St. Jacobs
Each year the Village of St. Jacobs and its merchants host St. Jacobs Sparkles! Explore the Village and take in the sights and sounds of a small-town Christmas while enjoying thousands of twinkling lights, complimentary horse drawn trolley rides, Victorian Carollers, a festive photo booth, outdoor burn barrel (for marshmallow roasting fun) and a tree lighting ceremony to help ring in the event on Thursday evening!
5) Waterloo Region Santa Claus Parades
Throughout November and December
Santa Claus is coming to Waterloo Region! Get ready to greet him at one of 10 Santa Claus Parades happening locally: and, don't forget to bring along your letter for Santa so his helpers can collect them along the parade route! Many of the parades will also be accepting food donations for local food banks.
