Norfolk County resident calls 911 about neighbour's lawnmower

It's because grass clippings were blown onto their property, which police say is not an emergency

It's a timely reminder from Norfolk County O-P-P .. that 9-1-1 is for emergencies *only*.

It comes after a Middleton resident phoned police about a lawn-mowing dispute.

The 30-year-old was reportedly quite agitated that their neighbour's grass clippings were blown onto their property.

Police say it takes at least two officers to respond to emergency calls - and it can take about half hour to clear the call.

They're asking the public to refrain from calling 9-1-1 unless it's actually urgent.
