A fire in a residential neighbourhood in Guelph remains under investigation, though officials don't believe it is suspicious.

It happened just before 8:00 p.m. Monday at a home on Cathcart Street, with fire crews finding heavy smoke and flames coming from the front side of the building when they arrived.

The fire was brought under control, with one male being transported to hospital with minor burns.

The cause of the fire, as well as a damage estimate, are not known at this time.
