Guelph Police are issuing a Public Health Alert after reports of blue or purple fentanyl in the city.
Officers say there was a surge in overdoses Friday afternoon.
Health officials at the Guelph Community Health Centre say they responded to two overdoses and one near overdose within 45 minutes.
Police are crediting health professionals at the centre, which is used as an Overdose Prevention Site, for saving all three lives.
