Centre Wellington Fire Rescue removed two tubers from the Elora Gorge on Saturday evening with assistance from the Ontario Provincial Police and park staff.
According to Centre Wellington Deputy Fire Chief Jonathan Karn, an individual riding an inflatable tube had fallen into the river and was feeling anxious about continuing their ride.
In a message to 570 NEWS, Karn says the tubers felt the area they were in didn’t have a great pathway for them to exit the gorge. Fire Rescue was called in to assist the two individuals in traversing a steep slope so that they could exit the gorge safely.
There are no injuries to report currently.
