The Mohawk Institute in Brantford was a notorious residential school in Ontario.

We're expected to hear more Wednesday on the search for unmarked graves at the former site of Canada's first residential school.

Mark Hill, the elected chief of Six Nations of the Grand River, will make an announcement at 2:30 p.m. about the search for unmarked graves at the former Mohawk Institute Residential School site in Brantford.

It will take place at the Woodland Cultural Centre in Brantford.

In a release from Six Nations of the Grand River, other guests will be there, and it will be streamed on Facebook.

Earlier this week, Hill had said plans of a ground search would be announced in the coming days.
