The newly-formed Guelph tech company says it has the solution for offices, factories and schools as they try to get things rolling again safely during this pandemic.
David Bullock is Director of Innovation with Songbird. He says Songbird didn't exist 120 days ago because COVID-19 wasn't on everyone's radar yet
He says they can rapidly detect and monitor COVID-19 on surfaces and in people using DNA testing and what he calls "game-changing technology".
Songbird was born out of two other tech companies: RWDI and Purity IQ.
Bullock says one of their first pilots involved a food processing company hit hard by the pandemic.
He says they are also getting interest from the military and apartment building owners.
Songbird is now working on some ground-breaking research that would allow them to test for covid-19 in the air, which Bullock says would be a world first.
The company is rapidly growing and expects to put the "Help Wanted" sign up in the next few days.
