WRPS officer tests positive for COVID

No high-risk contact has been made with the public

Regional Police have been notified that one of its sworn members has tested positive for COVID-19. 

In a release, it was confirmed that the officer in the Central Division was last at work on December 28 and is currently self-isolating. 

The areas where this member worked have been sanitized, and WRPS have been in communication with public health to ensure proper contract tracing is undertaken.

Currently, it has been determined that no high-risk contact was made with the public.
