What started a disturbance call in Kitchener, is now a human trafficking investigation.

Police were called to the area of Victoria Street North on Sunday.

Through their investigation, police learned that a female victim from Montreal was being trafficked.

A man and woman, both from Montreal, were then arrested and charged with human trafficking offences.

Police continue to ask residents to watch out for signs of human trafficking.

They can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or email intel.ht@wrps.on.ca with any information.
