Two arrested in stolen vehicle, police looking for third suspect

Two people have been arrested after police came across a stolen vehicle in Kitchener.

It happened on Friday evening on Victoria Street North.

Police say further investigation revealed that the vehicle was stolen from a residence in Guelph as a result of a break and enter.

When officers approached the vehicle, an unknown man fled on foot, but two women were arrested at the scene.

A 34-year-old and 39-year-old woman face charges including possession of stolen property over $5,000.

The 39-year-old also faces additional charges of possession of identity documents, possession of property obtained by crime and obstructing a peace officer.

Police are still looking for the man who fled.
