Three men found sleeping in vehicle with stolen property

On Monday, July 27, 2020, at approximately 1 a.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to the area of Chilligo Road in Cambridge for a report of an abandoned vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle and observed three males asleep in the vehicle.

One of the males was in possession of what appeared to be a handgun.

The vehicle also contained suspected stolen property.

As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old male and a 23-year-old male, both from Mississauga, and a 29-year-old Brampton male, were jointly charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000.

The 29-year-old Brampton male was also charged with one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Through investigation police determined the firearm to be a BB gun.
