Three men arrested in connection with Waterloo robbery

Three men have been arrested in connection with a person-on-person robbery in Waterloo Thursday night.

It happened in the University Avenue and Marsland Drive area around 10:30 p.m.

The victim of the robbery, a 21-year-old man from Waterloo, was allegedly attacked by two other men as he was out walking in the area.

The attackers took personal property from the man, and he suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The men were not known to the victim, according to police.

Police say several witnesses helped to locate and arrest two male suspects, with a third man arrested as well following further investigation.

The three men, two aged 27 and one 31, are facing a number of charges, including robbery, forcible confinement and assault causing bodily harm.
