Three people have been arrested following the death of a child in Cambridge last December.
The afternoon of Dec. 1, 2020, police responded to a residence on Winter Court in Cambridge after receiving a 911 medical call concerning a child in distress.
A two-year-old boy was located without vital signs by emergency crews. He was pronounced dead shortly after.
Police later determined the child's death was caused by a drug overdose.
On Thursday, April 8, police arrested a 59-year-old man and two women, aged 54 and 29, all from Cambridge. All have been charged with criminal negligence causing death. They are scheduled to make a court appearance Friday.
Police also say the accused are related to the victim.
