While 2020 saw many unprecedented moments related to COVID-19, there were also some disturbing trends when it comes to driving.
Less cars were on the roads for most of the year, and it seems motorists took advantage of the clear lanes and put the pedal to the metal.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Waterloo Regional Police said stunt driving charges were up 98 per cent in 2020.
Police said 285 motorists were charged through the course of the year, compared to 143 in 2019.
On Tuesday, it was announced that 14 local drivers have already lost their licence for alleged stunt driving since January 1 of 2021.
