Police seize over 200 firearms from Kitchener home (4 photos)

A big haul for Waterloo Regional Police.

They seized around 250 firearms, 200,000 rounds of ammunition, plus a grenade from a residence in Kitchener.

A Criminal Code search warrant was executed by the Drugs and Firearms Unit, along with members of the Emergency Response Team on Strathcona Crescent on Thursday, October 31.

Police say a Kitchener man, 57, has been charged with unsafe storage.

His name has not been released.

Police also say they expect to lay more firearms-related charges, as the investigation is ongoing.
