Waterloo Regional Police say a suspect has been identified and arrested out of town following a reported suspicious person incident in Cambridge.

On Thursday night, a woman was jogging in the King and Bishop Street area.

A man in a red Ford Ranger pick-up truck with a red topper reportedly followed her repeatedly. She was not injured.

In an update Friday night, police confirmed the arrest, and the man faces a charge of criminal harassment. They said there is no concern for public safety.

The investigation is ongoing.
