Police investigating attempted robbery

On June 11, 2019, at approximately 9:35 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to William Street East and Willow Street in Waterloo a report of a robbery. 

A male was walking in the area when an unknown suspect confronted him and demanded his personal property. 

The suspect is described as a male in his 20’s, approximately 5’8 tall with a thin build, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt. 

The suspect fled the area on foot. 

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries and no property was taken. 

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 519-570-9777 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
