Regional Police are confirming a crash in North Dumfries has turned fatal.
They say the crash happened around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on Cedar Creek Road, near Northumberland Drive.
A westbound car, driven by a 22-year old man from Blandford-Blenheim, lost control and struck a hydro pole.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and next of kin has been notified.
Any witnesses to the crash are asked to contact Regional Police's traffic unit at 519-570-9777.
Police said Thursday afternoon they believe speed was a factor in the crash.
