Man injured during attempted robbery in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police are looking for a suspect after a man tried to rob another man in Kitchener.

It happened around 12 a.m. Friday at a plaza on Highland Road West.

Police say the victim was sitting in his car when he was approached by an unknown man, who asked to call him a cab.

As the the victim started dialing, the suspect allegedly tried to grab his phone.

There was then a physical altercation, at which point the suspect attempted to grab his wallet.

He was unsuccessful in both attempts and then fled on a bike towards Lawrence Avenue.

The victim suffered minor injuries and minor damage was caused to his car.
