A 31-year-old Kitchener man has been arrested after a crash at a bridge in Woolwich Township.

Police were called to Buggy Lane before 7 o'clock Tuesday night, where a man driving a black Acura sedan tried going on a bridge designed for horse and buggy traffic only.

The driver struck the bridge and the vehicle rolled over into the Grand River, where it was partially submerged until the man was rescued by volunteer fire crews.

A man was treated for minor injuries, and has since been arrested for Impaired Operation of a Conveyance as well as Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

Police are looking for information, and asking for anyone who may have seen the vehicle before the incident.
