Man arrested on outstanding warrants

It was after police responded to a distress call in Cambridge

On January 11, 2020, at approximately 2:45 p.m., Emergency Services responded to a parking lot on King Street East in Cambridge for a male in distress. 

Upon arrival police located a male sitting in the driver's seat of a green Ford F150 pick-up truck. 

The investigation revealed that the male was wanted on a number of outstanding arrest warrants, and had stolen the vehicle earlier that day while it was left running and unattended. 

The male was arrested, and as a result of the investigation, the 29-year-old male was charged with a number of drug, weapon and Criminal Code offences. 

Police seized suspected fentanyl along with a prohibited weapon.
