Kitchener teen charged with uttering threats after incident in Tillsonburg

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Oxford County Detachment investigated an incident after being called to a Park Avenue, Tillsonburg address.

On Friday, April 12, 2019 at approximately 6:01 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault. 

Through the course of the investigation, it has been determined that a group of youths were walking on Park Avenue when a 13-year-old female was approached by a 15-year-old female and assaulted. A 15-year-old male also approached the group of youths and uttered threats.

As a result, the OPP were contacted and attended the area however the suspects had left prior to police arrival. While patrolling the area, the female and male were located and subsequently taken into custody without incident.

As a result, police charged a 15-year-old female from Tillsonburg, Ontario with assault.

A 16-year-old male from Kitchener, Ontario was charged with uttering threats- cause death of bodily harm.

Both are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock at a later date.
