A charge has been laid following a collision involving four vehicles in Cambridge.
It happened shortly after 6:30 a.m. on Thursday at Speedsville Road near Royal Oak Road.
Waterloo Regional Police say a pickup truck, towing a heavy-duty welder, was heading south on Speedsville when it allegedly struck an SUV, which had stopped to turn left into a business.
The impact then propelled the SUV into another pickup, then a car.
The driver of the SUV was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A 27-year-old Waterloo man has now been charged with careless driving.
Speedsville was also closed for several hours while police conducted their investigation.
