A five-year low for charges laid by Waterloo Regional Police during Canada Road Safety Week.
Regional Police say they laid 639 charges the week of May 12-18.
Most of the charges came from speeding (294), while 20 suspensions were handed out for either stunt driving (8) or impaired driving (12).
By comparison, 770 charges were laid during Canada Road Safety Week in 2019.
317 charges were laid on the streets of Kitchener.
The Police Board will speak to the numbers during Wednesday's meeting.
