A Cambridge man is facing charges after a suspected overdose in Guelph.

Police were called to a business in the area of York Road and Kingsmill Avenue Thursday morning around 10 a.m., in connection to a suspected overdose.

When officers arrived, they found a 41-year-old Cambridge man unconscious in the driver's seat of his vehicle, with the keys in his pants pocket.

Guelph Police say an IV track mark was reportedly found on the man's inner arm, consistent with suspected drug use.

After a search of the vehicle, police allegedly found a syringe with a yellow substance, two burnt cooking spoons, as well as a small baggie containing 3.6 grams of suspected yellow fentanyl.

The man was taken to Guelph General Hospital for medical assessment.
