Cambridge driver facing licence suspension for going 50 km/h over limit (2 photos)

A Cambridge driver is facing penalties after being caught going more than 50 km above the speed limit.

According to the WRPS Traffic Unit, it happened Friday night along Fischer Hallman Road.

Police say before stopping the vehicle, the driver was doing 114 km/h in a 60 km/h speed zone.

A 21-year-old driver will undergo a seven day licence suspension and their vehicle will remain impounded during that time.

No other details have been released.
