A Hamilton man is facing a long list of charges following nine separate collisions in Waterloo Region over the weekend.

Police got a call on Saturday afternoon about a man driving a vehicle erratically, carrying a knife and uttering threats at people.

Officers determined the vehicle was stolen and that six of the nine crashes involved police vehicles. It's estimated over $50,000 in property damage was caused.

An officer also suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.

The suspect vehicle was located on Madison Avenue South in Kitchener, after getting stuck on railway tracks. A man was then taken into custody.
