The Siskins have made a few changes off the ice.
On Thursday morning, The Greater Ontario Junior League team unveiled a new name and logo.
The team will now be called the Kitchener-Waterloo (K-W) Siskins.
Kitchener recently lost its GOJHL team, the Dutchmen, who are moving to Ayr and will now be known as the Ayr Centennials.
The Siskins also plan to work closely with minor hockey organizations in both Waterloo and Kitchener.
"The Siskins Board looks forward to serving the needs of Kitchener and Waterloo and provides hockey development opportunities for elite players." Curtis Clairmont, the team's president and director of hockey operations said in a release.
The reigning Sutherland Cup champions are entering their 86th season.
