Ahead of their showdown at The Aud Friday night, the Kitchener Rangers and North Bay Battalion have made a trade.

Kitchener will acquire overage defenseman Cole Cameron from the Troops, in exchange for the Blueshirts' 8th round draft pick in 2022.

The Johnstown native spent the last two seasons with the Owen Sound Attack, before coming on with North Bay in time for the 2018-19 campaign.

He recorded three assists in 28 games with the Troops this year.

“We would like to welcome Cole to the Rangers,” said general manager Mike McKenzie in a release. “We look forward to seeing him contribute as a member of our team.”

The trade to bring in an overager could signify the end of Connor Hall's OHL career.

He's been plagued with shoulder injuries, and played just four games this season back in October.

Chase Campbell and Kyle Gentles are the other two Rangers overagers.
