They're still alive!

The Kitchener Panthers have avoided the IBL Finals sweep, taking down the Barrie Baycats 5-1 Wednesday night at Jack Couch Park.

All the runs were scored in the sixth inning, with Barrie taking the lead on a sacrifice fly from Jordan Castaldo.

But a Liam Wilson RBI double tied it up.  Mike Gordner then launched a three-run home run, followed by a solo shot from Zarley Cina.

Jas Rakkar went 6.1 innings, allowing one run on six hits, walking one and striking out four.

The game was originally scheduled for Sunday, but weather postponed the series a couple times before finally getting underway Wednesday.

Game 5 goes back in Barrie Thursday night, with Games 6 and 7 (if necessary) being played Saturday and Sunday.
