It's a new season for the Kitchener Panthers.

Last year's Intercounty League Baseball finalists will get back to it for the 2019 campaign this weekend.

They'll play the Guelph Royals in a home-and-home, starting in the Royal City Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.

And then the Panthers host their Highway 7 rival Mother's Day Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Jack Couch Park.

The Panthers fell in six games to the Barrie Baycats in the 2018 IBL Championship, capped off by a heated battle at Jack Couch in Game 6.

The Panthers and Baycats won't have to wait long to renew hostilities, though.  They'll meet next Saturday, May 18 in Barrie and Sunday, May 19 in Kitchener.
