Ten local players make final rankings ahead of NHL Draft

NHL Central Scouting released its final rankings on Monday of the top North American skaters eligible for June's 2019 NHL Draft.

Ten players with local ties, including four Kitchener Rangers made the list.

  • Kitchener Rangers defenceman Michael Vukojevic is 55 on the list (ranked 61st in midterm rankings)
  • Kitchener's Cole Schwindt, a forward with the Mississauga Steelheads, comes in at 96 (131 in midterm)
  • Former Kitchener Minor Hockey player Cole MacKay (Soo Greyhounds) comes in at 99 (96 midterm)
  • Kitchener Rangers forward Joseph Garreffa is 135. He was not ranked midterm
  • Kitchener's Eric Uba (Flint Firebirds) 141 (150 in midterm rankings)
  • Waterloo's Keean Washkurak (Mississauga Steelheads) is 149 (134 midterm rankings)
  • Kitchener Rangers forward Rickard Hugg is ranked 162 (193 midterm)
  • Kitchener Rangers forward Jonathan Yantsis is 187 (194 midterm)
  • Waterloo's Nathan Allensen (Barrie Colts) comes in at 214 (186 midterm)
  • Cambridge's Jet Greaves (Barrie Colts) is 28 among North American goalies. He was not ranked midterm

Jack Hughes of USA Hockey's National Team Development Program under-18 team is the top ranked skater.
