Dean DeSilva will be one of the faces behind the bench of Team Ontario's hockey team at the Canada Winter Games.

The coach of the Kitchener Junior Rangers Minor Midget triple-A team was selected as one of the assistant coaches for the provincial squad.

Team selection was led by Director of Operations and Head of Ontario Hockey League Central Scouting, Darrell Woodley, who's from Kitchener.

Players and coaches will gather for a pre-tournament camp in Toronto, starting on February 11.

Ontario won gold the last time the games were held, four years ago.

The 2019 games open in Red Deer, Alberta on February 15.
