Laurier's football team returned to the .500 mark with a convincing 52-10 victory over Windsor on Saturday after.

It marked the second straight game the Golden Hawks have put up 52 points.

Quarterback Connor Carusello threw for almost 400 yards, completing 23 of 31 passes.

Laurier improves to 3 and 3, while the loss officially eliminated the Lancers from playoff contention.

Meantime, the University of Waterloo was in London to face Western.

The Warriors lost a close one on the game's final play.

Western's Mark Liegghio kicked a game-winning 27 yard field goal as time expired in the fourth quarter to give the Mustangs the 45-42 win.

UW moves to 4 and 2 on the season, while Western is a perfect 7 and 0.

The two teams combined for over 1,000 yards and there were 60 first downs in the game.

The Warriors and Laurier now meet in the Battle of Waterloo on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Warrior Field.
