Larry Uteck's name will be added to the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and Museum this year.
Uteck, who passed away in 2002, will be inducted in the builder category.
He was part of the 1973 Laurier Golden Hawks team that would go on to win a provincial title.
Uteck then went on to play seven seasons in the Canadian Football League, which included stops in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and B.C.
After his playing career, he started a coaching one at Saint Mary's University, leading the Huskies to seven provincial titles.
In 2003, the Atlantic Bowl was renamed the Uteck Bowl in his honour.
The induction ceremony was set for August, but has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
