On Friday, Ontario updated its guidance for recreation facilities and community centres.
It includes a maximum indoor capacity of 10 participants per program, provided physical distancing can be maintained.
After being informed by the Ford government of these changes, the Kitchener Minor Hockey Association (KMHA) announced it will reconvene all house league programs.
In a release, officials say the change will be effective immediately, and team schedules have been updated.
Any ice time removed from team schedules will be made up in the coming weeks as KMHA is able to secure replacement ice.
KMHA is recommending that each team limit their staff to no more than two coaches and one trainer.
