Kitchener's Sarah Pavan and Melissa Humana-Paredes have won a silver medal at the Itapema Open beach volleyball tournament in Brazil.
They lost the Sunday final, in three sets, to Americans April Ross and Alix Klineman.
The Canadian team of Brandie Wilkerson and Heather Bansley took the bronze medal with a win over a pair from the Netherlands.
Pavan and Humana-Paredes defeated Wilkerson and Bansley in the semifinals on Saturday.
Pavan represented Canada at the Rio Olympics in 2016.
