If the Ontario Hockey League is looking for hub cities to put on an abbreviated season, Kitchener's ears are open.

"Certainly this is something we would be willing to consider," Mayor Berry Vrbanovic told 570 NEWS, "The Aud is one of the most beloved facilities within the OHL and not just by Rangers fans."

"It would be subject to the OHL being interested, them working out  financial arrangements with the hub cities and the OHL working out public health arrangements with area public health units and the province to ensure this can be done safely."

OHL Commissioner David Branch said there is no approved framework for the upcoming season.

"The league will share more information with our players, families, staff, billets and tremendous fans as a finalized plan for a safe return to the ice becomes available," he said in a statement.
