Two road games this weekend for the Kitchener Panthers (12-5).

The top team in the Intercounty Baseball League play a rivalry game Saturday night against the Guelph Royals (6-10).

First pitch goes at 7:30 p.m.

The Highway 7 rivals have only met once so far this season, a 3-2 Panthers win back on June 10th.

Sunday, the Panthers travel to Toronto to play the Maple Leafs (10-7).

The Panthers are 2-0 against the Leafs this season, a 9-7 decision on May 24 and 11-8 on May 30.

Of note, Kitchener's Mike Gordner comes into the weekend on a four-game hit streak and now sits second in the IBL with a .365 batting average.

The Panthers are looking to hold off the surging Barrie Baycats (11-6), who come into the day just a game behind the Panthers and are on a six-game win streak.

The Baycats host London (9-6) Saturday and Guelph Sunday.

The next home game for the Panthers goes Thursday, June 28th against the Brantford Red Sox.
