Brent Garbutt has been named the new commissioner of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League.
Garbutt comes to the GOJHL from Ontario University Athletics (OUA) as their manager of sport, while also currently working as a video coordinator in the National Hockey League's Situation Room. He also has junior hockey experience from his time with the Ontario Junior Hockey League.
"The GOJHL is a tremendous league with a great product, a vast alumni network, and very talented players, coaches and staff. I am very excited to work with Scott Miller and the rest of the Board along with all other League Governors in further building the GOJHL brand and executing the GOJHL's vision." Garbutt said in a release.
Garbutt has a Bachelor of Commerce in Sports Administration from Laurentian University.
He officially takes over as commissioner on April 12.
