Michael Gligic will tee off in his fourth RBC Canadian Open later this week at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club.

The Kitchener resident, who played out of Whistle Bear Golf Club, was one of three players from the Mackenzie Tour to earn exemptions.

"I'm thrilled to get the chance to play in Hamilton this year." Gligic told the Mackenzie Tour. "Huge thanks go to Golf Canada and the Mackenzie Tour for providing me this opportunity. Along with my friends and family, I'm looking forward to a great week."

Earlier this year, Gligic won his first tournament on the Tour.

There were three other local golfers in Monday's qualifier, including Waterloo's Luke Moser, but none of the three were able to advance.

Corey Conners, from just down the road in Listowel, is also confirmed for the RBC Canadian Open.

He won his first PGA Tour tournament back in April.
