It's a dream of NHL players and coaches, to one day hoist the Stanley Cup.

That dream will come true for Robert Bortuzzo and Mike Van Ryn (St. Louis Blues), or John Moore (Boston Bruins) in the next few weeks.

Bortuzzo and Moore both played for the Kitchener Rangers, while Van Ryn coached the team and is now an assistant with St. Louis.

The Blues advanced to the final by defeating San Jose 5-1 in Game 6 of the Western Conference Final on Tuesday.

The Sharks also have a strong Kitchener Rangers connection of Peter DeBoer and Steve Spott.

The Stanley Cup Final opens on Monday night in Boston.

The Bruins advanced by sweeping Carolina in the Eastern Conference Final.
