The Toronto Argonauts are adding some representation from Waterloo Region.
On Wednesday, the CFL team announced the signing of Cambridge native Chris Ackie.
The 28-year-old linebacker played ten games with Montreal in 2019, recording 38 defensive tackles and two special teams tackles.
The former member of the Laurier Golden Hawks will be entering his sixth season in the CFL.
Ackie, who was a first-round pick in 2015 has tallied 154 defensive tackles, 24 special teams tackles, two sacks, two interceptions, four forced fumbles and one touchdown for his career.
