We're headed back to Kitchener!

The Panthers aren't going down without a fight, extending the IBL Finals to a Game 6 after a 6-5 win in 11 innings Thursday night in Barrie.

Tanner Nivins, who went two-for-five on the night, played the role of hero, after a two-run double in the 11th to break a 4-4 tie.

Kevin Atkinson closed the gap with a solo shot in the bottom half of the inning, but the Baycats couldn't get anything more from Panthers hurler Yoen Socarras (one of eight pitchers seeing action for Kitchener).

Yoennis Yera got the start, going five innings of six-hit baseball.  He gave up a pair of runs, walking four and struck out nine.

Matt St. Kitts went seven innings, giving up five hits and four runs --- the first earned runs he's given up throughout the IBL playoffs --- while walking one and struck out 10 batters.

Colin Gordner went deep in the fourth, a two-run home run, to take their third 4-0 lead of the series.

But Barrie came back once again to tie it, leading to some free baseball for the fans.

Game 6 goes Saturday night at Jack Couch Park at 7:00 p.m.
