Wilfrid Laurier University has been named one of Region's top employers, according to Canada's Top 100 employers.

Canada's Top 100 employers is an editorial competition recognizing leading national and regional organizations that offer exceptional workplaces for their employees.

According to a Wilfrid Laurier press release, this is the second time Laurier has been featured on Waterloo Area's Top Employers list, based on the school's efforts to redefine how people work across all campuses.

Waterloo Area's Top Employers list has been around for 13 years, recognizing local organizations that offer 'exceptional places to work.'

"This award celebrates progressive, forward-thinking organizations that foster healthy workplace communities, which is exactly what we strive for." said Deborah MacLatchy in the release.

"Laurier's incredible employees have built a collaborative, supportive multi-campus community in which to educate our students."

Besides Wilfrid Laurier University, some other organizations to make the list include the University of Waterloo and Waterloo North Hydro Inc.
