***The weather advisory was lifted around 10 a.m. on Wednesday***
Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory for Waterloo Region, as well as Northern Wellington County, with lots of snow on the way.
They say there will be brief, but intense lake effect flurries continuing Wednesday morning, and travel conditions may become hazardous.
Parts of the region could see localized snowfall accumulations of up to 5 cm.
For those traveling, there are areas near Lake Huron and Georgian Bay that remain under a snow squall warning and could see bigger amounts of snowfall.
