Waterloo Region Museum to host Children's Groundwater Festival this month

It starts May 24

Children throughout Waterloo Region, Guelph and Wellington County are getting water-wise at the Waterloo Wellington Children's Groundwater Festival. The festival takes place at the Waterloo Region Museum and runs daily May 24, 27, 28, 29, 30, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Festival is a co-operative effort between the Region of Waterloo, the City of Guelph, the Grand River Conservation Authority, the University of Waterloo, local corporations and businesses, secondary schools, post-secondary institutions and the broader public sector. The end result is a week-long festival that raises environmental awareness in an educational and fun setting, for nearly 5000 students annually.

The festival is an educational program but general admission visitors are also welcome and encouraged to visit and take part in the Children’s Groundwater Festival. Regular admission rates apply.
